M247 would like to inform you of maintenance works in Frankfurt, Germany, in the following time slot:

From: Monday, 22 April 2024, 04:00 UTC
To: Monday, 22 April 2024, 08:00 UTC

The work consist in updating the firmware on one of the edge routers, part of the global network upgrade plan.
Your services will experience interruptions/increased latency within the time slot outlined above.

The actual expected downtime will consist of two slots of aprox 20 mins(for this upgrade the router will restart 2 times)

Greetings,

The software upgrade on our edge router is still ongoing.
Due to the unforeseen delays and the abnormal behavior of the equipment during the upgrade attempt, the situation has been escalated both internally and with the vendor.

While connectivity in our Frankfurt PoP is generally not affected, there are a couple transits which are impacted.
Our team is fully engaged in resolving the encountered issues and restore service to optimal status.

Given the current situation and the length of the operations, we are now treating the situation as fault/incident.
Therefore, we are taking actions to mitigate the impact, migrate certain transit links to different routers in location, in order to restore services to optimal status.

Hello,

Mitigating actions have been completed and connectivity has been restored to optimal status.
However, the implemented solution is a temporary workaround fix, so we will schedule a maintenance for a permanent solution after we conclude investigations with the vendor.

The upcoming maintenance will be scheduled in advance and notifications sent in a timely manner.
