Start: Wed, Jun 10th 2020, 19:00
End: Wed, Jun 10th 2020, 20:45

Dear Customer,

M247 will be upgrading the Firmware on our Shared Firewall Estate that you currently have an active service on between 19:00 - 22:00 on Wednesday 10th June 2020.

This maintenance has an anticipated downtime of 30 minutes where your current service will fail over to the secondary device in an isolated state. The primary device will then undertake firmware upgrades before we migrate your active service back to the Master device. The firewall service normally sits at the edge of your MPLS connectivity and provides internet breakout during the specified maintenance slot internet breakout will be impacted but the site to site (MPLS) traffic will not be.

The two nodes that operate as a Pair/Cluster will operate in a standalone mode for two working days to ensure that in the event of a client needing to rollback we can do this quickly. Once the two working days have passed then the Slave unit will be added into the cluster where the device's operation moves back to being a High Availability (HA) pair.

These works are crucial to ensuring continued security upkeep and performance of your service. The status page will be kept updated during the works.

Once the work has finished M247 recommends that internal checks are immediately conducted and in the event of a problem occurring our Support Department will be on-hand to assist.

Any changes made on the firewall should be conducted through our support department until the maintenance is completed to ensure that migration configuration is accurate.

Customers impacted by the specified maintenance window will have received a separate mailshot.

Regards,
M247 Network Infrastructure.
