M247 Latency Issues - Issue resolved

Hi,

We are noticing some latency issues on some parts of our network at the moment. This is due to a 3rd party malicious fibre break, due to health and safety reasons the fibre repair can not be commence until later this evening, we have not been given an eta at the moment but will update as soon as we do.

M247 Network Infrastructure engineers are currently working on this to try and mitigate impact for our customers.

The 3rd party carrier fiber work has now been completed and we are seeing all services restored.

Our 3rd party fiber provider has provided us a revised ETR of around 12:30, they are continuing to work on this issue with the highest priority.

We have been advised by the 3rd party fiber provider due to some health and safety issues there has been some added delays we have been given an updated ETR of 11:00.

Upon the 3rd party conducting the initial repair, an additional 1 km of damage fibre was found.

This has been laid and is currently being re-spliced.

The initial 750 meters which needed to be laid has been completed.

There is currently no ETR.

We have received a notification that the 3rd party can restart works at 00:00, we have been given the ETR of 06:00.

Still no ETR at the moment, the 3rd party carrier is working with Network Rail on when work can start
